Feel the Wind is a documentary project that will record the triumphs and challenges that lay ahead for Akron native Denny Parsons as he battles with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease).
Denny’s battle with ALS began in August of 2006 with the aid of his close friends, his daughters, and his girlfriend, Diana. Since that time he has had triumphs and suffered losses, and the road ahead is difficult, but he continues to ride it with a smile on his face.
The title for this project, Feel the Wind, is Denny’s call to ride. It’s his call to action. It’s his call to grab life by the horns and wrestle from it what you can.
This project will be led by Kier Selinsky (photographer and contributing author) and Sue Hatos (author). Sue has been a close friend of Denny’s for too many years to count. Kier met Denny through Sue, and was attracted to this project by his affinity to those fighting neurological diseases.

As much as I am curious to learn more about Denny, and ALS – I am also praying for him, his daughters, his girlfriend, and anyone who knows and cares for this man, that God stands by his/their side to help him/them through the good and the bad times.
Thank you, Kier and Sue, for sharing this with everyone.
